Who are we?

The Hampshire Cultural Education Partnership (HCEP) was formed in response to Arts Council England’s (ACE) Cultural Education Challenge in 2015. We are a network of leaders from the arts, heritage and education sectors within our county who:

• Have committed to work in partnership
• Adopt a shared approach
• Are responsive to contemporary issues
• Align our aims and objectives to local and national cultural priorities and strategies including Arts Council 2020 Let’s create
• Ensure that all children and young people in Hampshire have access to high quality arts and cultural opportunities

Connect

As a Partnership, we endeavour to connect with children and young people, regardless of place and circumstance, in a way that is accessible and meaningful for them. We particularly look to new ways of connecting with vulnerable and hard to reach groups.

Create

Creativity is at the heart of our offer. It is about creating with, and for, children and young people as well as their families. We strive to provide opportunities that enable others to discover and develop their inner creativity through a range of different art forms.

Celebrate!

We will be a CEP that champions celebrating every child and young person and what they achieve throughs arts and culture. We will have platforms to showcase and recognise achievement, through Arts Award / Artsmark, online sharing platforms, or with localities. The word ‘Celebrate’ is followed immediately with an exclamation mark, highlighting the energy, joy, and pride we have in sharing these outcomes.
